RISE Media Strategy, a new content marketing agency specializing in AV—including pro AV, residential AV, pro audio and broadcast— was recently formed by long-time industry experts Krissy Rushing Tomlin and Jayson Tomlin.



With an emphasis on defining a brand’s story first, the Asheville, North Carolina-based firm states it works to tailor effective and focused messaging across various content formats, from social media to digital marketing to press releases and case studies.

The firm recommends an initial meeting to ascertain clients’ needs, then digs in to develop a customized plan with deliverables and goals outlined that are tied to the client’s specific business objectives.

“The brand’s story and resulting messaging are the cornerstone of our offering. Then we zoom out to help our clients deploy that message in the most effective ways possible,” says Krissy Rushing Tomlin, CEO and founder of RISE Media Strategy.

“Over the past two decades, we’ve worked in every part of the AV business, from journalism to PR to marketing to manufacturing, for a wide breadth of experience. We, therefore, aren’t ‘siloed’ to one type of marketing activity such as only PR or just social media, becoming a natural extension of our clients’ marketing departments.”


RISE Media Strategy’s service offerings include marketing strategy and consultation, digital marketing, social media, public relations (PR), advertising creative direction, and trade show support.

The company is also offering a special CEDIA Expo 2023 Marketing & PR Tradeshow Package to help manufacturers maximize their ROI at the show.

RISE states it limits the number of clients on its roster to provide a higher level of individualized service for every client, offering customized plans designed to be nimble in evolving environments.
