Temple University student Zachary Fajge had an enriching experience this summer as he embarked on an internship with tech startup Supplyve in Jerusalem. As a major in entrepreneurship and innovation management at the Fox School of Business, Zachary had the opportunity to gain valuable professional development while immersing himself in a new culture.

Zachary’s journey began with the help of Meor, a Temple student organization that facilitates internship opportunities for Jewish students seeking to connect with their heritage. Through Meor, Zachary and six other Temple students were able to intern with Supplyve in Jerusalem.

The internship program not only offered practical experience but also included classes and workshops on subjects such as public speaking, resume building, and Jewish history. In one notable class, Zachary and his fellow interns had the privilege of learning from Tom Steinberg, the CEO of TS Partners LLC and former VP of Goldman Sachs.

During his internship, Zachary worked at the Azrieli College of Engineering’s startup accelerator and entrepreneurship center, where Supplyve operated. This environment provided him with an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals and engage with students from diverse backgrounds.

Zachary’s tasks at Supplyve included web design, AI research, and creating tutorial materials. He played a crucial role in integrating artificial intelligence into the company’s systems. Additionally, he worked on building the help center for the Supplyve website, incorporating user experience design elements to ensure an intuitive customer experience.

Despite his busy schedule, Zachary made time to explore the city and enjoy his surroundings. He even shared memorable moments, such as having ice cream in the Old City with his friends and the Meor Temple rabbi, Rabbi Katz.

Zachary’s internship with Supplyve in Jerusalem not only provided professional development but also allowed him to form connections with his heritage. It exemplifies the value of internships in fostering personal and professional growth, and the importance of making the most out of such opportunities.
